Job Summary:
The registered nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical (MS) on the nights shift in Michigan. This role involves coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching, and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel. The RN recognizes each patient as a unique individual and ensures quality nursing care that promotes mutual goal setting, patient rights, and privacy.
Job Details:
- Location: Mount Pleasant, Michigan
- Position Description: Coordinates total nursing care for patients, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. The RN recognizes each patient as a unique individual and ensures quality care that aligns with mutual goals while assuring patient rights and privacy are protected.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: 2+ years of medical surgical experience, Michigan state license, BLS certification (AHA)
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, 2+ years of experience in the specified setting and specialty
- Additional Information: The position involves on-call responsibilities; there are no weekend requirements beyond every third weekend.
