A Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor is needed for a healthcare provider in Birmingham, Alabama. This position involves providing comprehensive patient care on a general medicine unit, supporting a facility known for its excellence in stroke, cardiovascular, and surgical care. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing services during night shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid BLS certification; NIHSS certification preferred; minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in acute care; Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent; current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Alabama.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system; strong time management skills; effective interdisciplinary communication skills.
- Floats: Float rotation may be required to other units within the acute care division.
- Additional Information: The position requires professionalism, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach. Attire must comply with institutional guidelines, including navy blue scrubs, close-toed shoes with backs, and nails within TJC and CMS guidelines.
