Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) nurse position in a short-term acute care facility. The role involves providing care to adult and geriatric patients, with a focus on end-of-life and comfort care. The position offers a night shift schedule, with expectations to work 36 hours per week during a contract period from September 8, 2026, to December 8, 2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid state license, at least 1 year of current clinical experience in medical-surgical nursing, BLS certification, and ACLS certification (if applicable)
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level II experience, community hospital experience, experience with charting in Epic, and previous charge nurse experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required between units and sister facilities; flexibility to float is necessary
- Additional Information:
- The facility has a total of 379 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center.
- The dress code for licensed nursing personnel is solid navy blue uniforms or scrubs.
- Free parking available in surface lots with signage for employees and visitors.
- Candidates must be prepared to work 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day).
- All scheduling requests should be specified at the time of submission.
- Candidates must have a valid compact state license and at least one year of clinical experience.
- Travel experience is not explicitly required but experience in busy hospitals with multiple patient care teams is preferred.
