Job Description
Provide safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care to Mother/Baby patients.
Perform patient assessments and reassessments based on patient condition and policy.
Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate individualized care plans.
Monitor and document patient responses to clinical interventions.
Provide patient and family education throughout the stay and at discharge.
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to meet patient/family needs.
Delegate tasks to licensed and non-licensed staff.
Mentor and precept nursing staff.
Promote teamwork, quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
Utilize evidence-based nursing practices and participate in practice governance.
Requirements
2 years of acute care RN experience
2 years of acute Mother/Baby RN experience
Epic experience
Active Registered Nurse license
BLS
NRP – Advanced
STABLE
Minimum Associate's Degree in Nursing (ASN) or Nursing Diploma
