Job Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Mother/Baby, postpartum, or maternal-newborn nursing experience
- Advanced NRP certification
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with couplet care in a mother-baby or postpartum setting
- Comfort working in a fast-paced unit with a 1:2 patient ratio
- Ability to float to Labor & Delivery or assist with sitter tasks on other units as needed
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality bedside nursing care to postpartum mothers and newborns
- Monitor couplets and support safe, family-centered recovery
- Assess patients, document care accurately, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
- Support mothers recovering from hysterectomy or other maternal-newborn related needs
- Respond to changing patient conditions with professionalism and strong clinical judgment
- Maintain a safe, compassionate, and efficient care environment
- Help cover weekends, holidays, and floating assignments as required
