Job Summary
Long Term Care (LTC) - Nursing Unit in a nursing home setting. This role involves providing direct patient care for residents with conditions such as COPD, dementia, Parkinson's disease, MS, and CHF. The position requires supervising Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and performing routine nursing duties in a facility with 38 residents. The assignment is scheduled to run from 08/31/2026 to 11/30/2026, with a focus on day shifts and a mix of 8-hour or 12-hour shifts.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with days, weekends, and every other holiday required
  • Required Qualifications: BLS Certification; minimum 1 year of experience in long-term care or related settings; valid license to practice nursing; located within 50 miles of the facility
  • Preferred Qualifications: Supervisory skills, experience passing medications, wound care, Foley care, and ostomy care; previous nursing home experience a plus; self-motivated
  • Additional Information: The unit ratio during day shifts is approximately 1 nurse to 2-3 CNAs for 20 residents, and during night shifts, 1 nurse to 2-3 CNAs for 40 residents. The facility uses Point Click Care (PCC) for charting, and on-site pharmacy services are available. Self-scheduling or block scheduling may be available based on operational needs.
  • Certifications: BLS Certification
  • Schedule: 8-hour or 12-hour shifts, with block scheduling options based on need; shifts primarily days, with every other weekend and holiday work; no floating required
  • Other Requirements: Upfront RTO approval for requested time off; no full-time, part-time, or PRN candidates with affiliated facilities within the past year; no after-hours physician read strips; not involved with IVs or titratable drips; no standing calls or standby duties
