Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum 2 years of bedside critical care or acute care clinical experience
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong documentation, communication, and prioritization skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented healthcare environment

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Monitor patient progress and participate in interdisciplinary care conferences
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Initiate discharge planning and patient and family education early in the admission process
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the care team to support continuity of care and patient safety
• Supervise and support ancillary nursing staff as needed
• Promote a safe, positive, and efficient LTAC unit environment for patients, families, and coworkers
