Job Details

Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of bedside clinical experience
• ICU experience or strong clinical skills applicable to LTAC nursing
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong documentation, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to adapt quickly and provide safe, quality care in a high-acuity environment

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission and use findings to guide an individualized plan of care
• Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
• Provide patient education and family education based on identified healthcare needs
• Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences and provide timely, accurate updates on patient status
• Initiate discharge planning from day one and support patient teaching in preparation for discharge
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the appropriate care team members to support continuity and safety
• Supervise and direct ancillary nursing personnel as appropriate
• Promote safe, effective care by following hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation in the medical record
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative healthcare team environment while supporting quality outcomes
