Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of bedside clinical experience required; 2 years preferred
• BLS certification required prior to first shift
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift
• Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced LTAC nursing environment
• Experience supporting patient education and interdisciplinary care planning

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission
• Develop and update individualized plans of care based on patient needs
• Provide accurate, timely documentation in the medical record
• Participate in weekly team conferences and communicate patient status changes
• Support discharge planning and patient/family education from day one
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
• Supervise and direct LPNs, CNAs, and other ancillary staff as needed
• Promote patient safety, employee safety, and quality outcomes at all times
• Assist with charge responsibilities after orientation when requested
• Contribute to a positive, efficient, and supportive unit culture
