- Shift Details: Day Rotator (Rotating between 07:00–19:30, 11:00–23:30, and 19:00–07:30), with 1 night of call and Every Other Weekend (EOW). 36 or 48 guaranteed hours available. No straight days offered.
What the Facility Wants (Requirements & Expectations)
Experience & Qualifications
- Experience Required: Minimum 3 years of experience required.
- License & Certifications: Current Massachusetts RN license, BLS, NRP, and EFM (every 2 years for L&D) required. AHA ACLS preferred.
Clinical & Unit Overview
- Unit Details: 25-bed unit encompassing L&D, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery (NBN), 2 ORs, 2 recovery rooms (RR), and 2 ANU rooms (with 4 beds). Average daily census is 15–25 mothers, babies, and labors.
- Patient Ratios & Care:
- L&D: 1:2–3 evaluations, 1:1 active labor, magnesium drip, or epidural.
- Postpartum: 1:3–4.
- Key Skills Required: Labor & delivery, postpartum care, circulating, and newborn care.
- Charting System: EPIC.
- Floating Requirements: None.
