👩‍⚕️ Your Role

As an Obstetrics RN, you'll provide coordinated, patient-centered nursing care while collaborating with physicians, families, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to promote safe outcomes and an exceptional patient experience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to assigned OB patients based on established standards and the nursing process.
  • Collect and assess relevant patient data to identify health concerns and care priorities.
  • Develop individualized care plans and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Monitor patient progress and evaluate outcomes, adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, ancillary departments, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Promote a safe, healing, respectful, and patient-centered environment.
  • Provide education and learning opportunities to patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
  • Communicate health information, treatment plans, and care instructions clearly and effectively.
  • Assist with discharge planning and promote continuity of care.
  • Delegate appropriate responsibilities to nursing and healthcare team members.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of assigned nursing staff within applicable scope of practice.
  • Apply strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR.
  • Follow hospital policies, infection-control standards, patient-safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional job-related responsibilities as assigned.


🩺 Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
  • Epic experience – Required.
  • Acute-care hospital experience preferred.
  • Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate care for multiple patients.
  • Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively supporting the broader care team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to patient safety and quality care.


🎓 Education & Certifications

Required:

  • Active RN license.
  • BLS/CPR certification from an approved provider.
  • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
