Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse position located in a high-volume, high-acuity setting. The role involves caring for women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, with a focus on high-risk obstetric cases. The successful candidate will be involved in assisting with deliveries, neonatal care, and using electronic fetal monitoring systems, working in a fast-paced environment to support maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week, from 09/14/2026 to 03/15/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: At least 3 years of recent experience in high acuity labor and delivery environments, current state license with a compact license, and proof of NURSYS. Candidate must have current certifications including BLS, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Advanced or Intermediate.
  • Preferred Qualifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced certifications.
  • Floating: May float to sister facilities supporting Mother/Baby teams, including postpartum and antepartum units.
  • Experience & Skills: Must have high-risk obstetric experience, electronic fetal monitoring expertise, and neonatal care skills including eye and thigh assessment, and administering vitamin K injections. Ability to assist with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and neonatal resuscitation is required.
  • Responsibilities: Function as a Baby Nurse during delivery, providing neonatal and postpartum care, performing assessments, and supporting high-risk deliveries in a high-volume setting.
  • Special Equipment & Procedures: Electronic fetal monitoring, neonatal assessment, use of external fetal monitors, and adherence to staffing guidelines based on AWHONN standards.
  • Additional Notes: Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience, current supervisory references, and pass clinical review. Work every other weekend and holidays as required, with approved time off considered on a case-by-case basis.
