Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience with previous travel RN experience required; 5+ years of experience preferred
- First-time travelers may be considered upon review
- Experience caring for high-acuity obstetric patients, including high-risk labor and delivery
- Ability to triage OB patients and manage laboring patients safely and efficiently
- Experience circulating in the OR and assisting with cesarean deliveries
- Proficiency with cervical checks and interpreting fetal monitoring strips
- Current BLS, NRP, and Intermediate FHM (AWHONN) certifications
- EPIC experience required
- Strong communication, teamwork, and critical-thinking skills
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients in labor, delivery, antepartum, and postpartum recovery settings
- Support high-acuity births, including C-sections, preterm labor, hypertensive disorders, and postpartum hemorrhage cases
- Monitor fetal tracings, recognize changes in patient status, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Assist with admissions, triage, and ongoing assessment of obstetric patients
- Circulate in the OR and provide support for cesarean deliveries when needed
- Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and the care team to deliver safe, compassionate maternal health care
- Help receive and recover newborns as needed and provide support for mother-baby transition
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and follow facility protocols and best practices
