RN – Labor & Delivery / Obstetrics

• Provide direct nursing care to women throughout labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care.
• Perform patient assessments and continuously monitor the labor process and maternal/fetal status.
• Prepare patients and equipment for C-sections and inductions.
• Provide nursing care during labor, delivery, post-delivery, and postpartum.
• Provide newborn/infant care and patient/family education.
• Prepare and maintain the delivery room for procedures.
• Administer IV medications and follow infection control and OB department policies.
• Provide emotional support to patients and families.
• Coordinate patient transfers as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation.
• Demonstrate knowledge of labor & delivery, postpartum, and maternal/newborn care.
• Follow sterile technique and infection control principles.
• Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Current Colorado RN license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification (NRP) and ACLS required within one year of employment.
• 4 years of Obstetrics experience preferred.
• Full-time position: 36 hours/week.
• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with possible rotation based on staffing and census.
• On-call availability required.
• Position involves prolonged standing/walking and occasional heavy lifting.
• Reports directly to the New Beginnings Birth Center Manager.
