Job Summary
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a hospital setting. This role involves providing competent clinical nursing care for obstetric patients during nights shifts. The position requires coordination of patient care utilizing the nursing process, participation in patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum 48 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license for the state of North Carolina; Bachelor's Degree of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited institution; one (1) year of nursing experience; valid certifications including Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); previous obstetric experience including circulating for Cesarean sections and triaging for Obstetrics is preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Additional Information: Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification through AWHONN or GE is required. Prior experience in Labor and Delivery is essential. Candidate must be able to perform bedside point of care testing, promote safety, and participate in quality improvement activities. The assignment spans from 09/14/2026 to 12/12/2026, with opportunities for contract extensions.
