Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) registered nurse position available in a local healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized obstetric care to pregnant patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages. The nurse will assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, ensure patient safety, and monitor fetal and maternal well-being.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) provider certification, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, must be comfortable with delivering mothers and neonatal care, at least 2 years of labor and delivery experience, valid California licensure, recent Nursys update within the last 2 weeks
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a trauma level I or II facility, previous charge nurse experience, proficiency with electronic fetal monitoring systems, community hospital experience
- Additional Information: The role involves administering blood and blood products, epidural anesthesia, fetal monitoring, assisting with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, postpartum care, and managing obstetrical emergencies. Candidates must complete onboarding labs within 3-5 days of contract signing, provide accurate work history for the past 7 years, and have references obtained within the last year. All compliance documents are due 10 days before the start date.
