Job Summary:
Maternal Child Health Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Mother/Baby Couplet Care is needed for a healthcare organization. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to patients in Labor and Delivery, Newborn Nursery, Level II Nursery, and Mother-Child services. The RN will work in a night shift schedule, ensuring high standards of patient safety and care in a dynamic hospital environment. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support growth and development across the lifespan of maternal and neonatal patients.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid New Mexico or multi-state nursing license; Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire; Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required upon hire; Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (AWOHNN) fetal monitoring certification required upon hire; STABLE certification preferred; Baby-Friendly experience preferred
- Work Experience Requirements: Three years of experience in Labor and Delivery; Three years of experience in Nursery; Three years of experience in Medical-Surgical settings; Proficiency with Meditech or comparable electronic medical record documentation preferred
- Additional Information: This position involves floating to other hospital areas as directed, following the guidance of charge nurses or RNs in the assigned departments, and maintaining high standards of patient safety and quality care. Every third weekend required. Block scheduling available upon request.
