Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in Modesto, California. This role involves providing expert nursing care to obstetric patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective patient outcomes while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a busy hospital environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: California RN license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), at least 3 years of experience in labor and delivery, and experience with the Epic charting system.
- Preferred Qualifications: 5 years of experience in obstetrics, patient ratio experience of 2, additional certifications in AWHONN advanced and intermediate levels, and previous community hospital, LTAC, trauma level II, or travel experience.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with adult cardiac arrest, high-risk pregnancy procedures, sterile speculum exams, vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, neonatal resuscitation, fetal monitoring, and use of various obstetrical equipment. The unit supports a daily census of 200-300 patients, with 8 beds and approximately 12 rooms. Orientation lasts 36 hours, and compliance with onboarding, work history verification, and module completion are required prior to start.
