Labor & Delivery / Women's OB ED RN
Position: RN – Women's OB Emergency Department / Perinatal
Shift: Days – 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Contract: 13 weeks
Facility: Level IV Maternal Designation
Setting: High-volume Women's OB ED / Perinatal
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to pregnant and postpartum patients in the Women's OB ED.
- Care for patients from 16 weeks pregnant through 6 weeks postpartum.
- Assess and triage OB patients ranging from low to high acuity.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and recognize complications.
- Provide care during labor and delivery and coordinate with OB providers.
- Assist with emergency obstetric situations.
- Collaborate with OB, anesthesia, NICU, and other multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide patient education and support throughout the perinatal period.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery/Perinatal experience required.
- Must have experience in a high-volume delivery service.
- Active Texas RN license required.
- BLS – AHA or American Red Cross required.
- NRP – AAP required.
- ACLS/Advanced Life Support – AHA or American Red Cross required.
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing required.
- STABLE certification preferred.
- BSN preferred.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification preferred.
- Strong high-risk OB/perinatal experience preferred.

- 14 triage rooms
- 60 Mother-Baby couplet rooms
- 15 monitored antepartum rooms
- 500+ deliveries per month
- 24/7 in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage
- Perinatal Transport Program
- Academic teaching facility
