Job Summary
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse Mids Shift Duration: 09/21/2026 to 12/21/2026. This role involves providing support in the obstetric department, assisting healthcare providers with procedures, and ensuring patient safety. The position emphasizes technical competence, patient assessment, and effective communication under supervision.
Job Details
- Schedule: 3 x 12-hour Mids shifts, 1100-2300, every other weekend, no call required. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, at least 2 years of Labor and Delivery (L&D) experience, proficient in using Epic charting system, experience with high-risk deliveries and obstetric procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with trauma Level I and Level II, knowledge of community hospital settings, travel experience, and familiarity with clinical procedures such as assist with sterile speculum exams, epidural anesthesia, cesarean sections, fetal monitoring, and neonatal assessments.
- Additional Information: Role includes assisting with vaginal deliveries, C-sections, high-risk obstetric care, neonatal care, and patient education on postpartum and newborn care. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience and meet all certification requirements prior to start.
