Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse in an urban hospital setting. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery Department, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal outcomes. The position requires supervision of nursing staff, coordination with healthcare teams, and adherence to established standards and protocols.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN); Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor
- Preferred Qualifications: Acute care facility experience
- Essential Functions: Collects relevant patient data; analyzes assessment data; develops and implements care plans; coordinates care with team members; evaluates patient outcomes; engages in discharge planning; delegates duties appropriately; provides health education; performs other related duties as assigned
