Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse Manager in Spokane, Washington. This role involves overseeing a team within a Level 3 Trauma Center that handles high-risk and low-risk ante-partum, intra-partum pregnant women, as well as immediate postpartum and newborn stabilization. The position requires a dynamic leader capable of managing clinical staff and ensuring compliance with departmental guidelines.

Job Details:

  • Location: Spokane, WA 800 W 5th Ave, Spokane, WA 99204
  • Position Description: Manager willing to consider up to 21 weeks.
  • Shift Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week.
  • Start Date: 09/21/2026
  • Required Qualifications: Licenses in Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM); surgical scrub certification with BLS and Certified Surgical Technologist (CST); minimum of 2 years of experience; ability to support high-risk obstetric patient care including skills such as intrauterine pressure catheter placement (IUPC), fetal scalp electrode (FSE), IV starts, circulating cesarean sections.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system, Baxter IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, GE and Phillips fetal monitoring systems, centralized tele-EFM monitoring, NICU support, and hospitalist collaboration.
  • Support on the Unit: No CNAs, RN resource nurse, 24/7 charge nurse, phlebotomy available, on-call schedule only during scheduled shifts, and occasional holiday work.
  • Technology/Equipment: EPIC EMR, Baxter IV pumps, Pyxis medication system, GE/Centricity fetal monitors, Phillips electronic fetal monitoring/tele, free parking.
  • Other Notes: Scrub color is dark blue, provided by the hospital. Orientation usually consists of 2-3 shifts based on RN competency.
