Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Carthage, Tennessee.

RN – Labor & Delivery / Nursery / Postpartum
Facility: Highpoint Health Riverview with Ascension St. Thomas
Location: Carthage, TN
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3×12 hours | 36 guaranteed hours/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Call Requirement: 3 × 12-hour call shifts per 4-week schedule
Requirements
- Active RN license eligible to practice in Tennessee
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience
- Must be able to work in Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units
- Experience with fetal monitoring
- Couplet care experience
- Required certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- NRP
- Must complete the Tennessee Abuse Registry check before the assignment start date
- All required certifications must be active before starting the assignment
- Must be willing to float as needed
- Preferred, but not required:
- PALS
- Meditech experience
- Centricity experience
Unit Details
- 2 Labor beds
- 3 Postpartum beds
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Patient population: Maternity patients and newborns
- EHR: Meditech
Travel Requirement
- Candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate.
- Local candidates are accepted at a local rate of $51/hour.
Ideal candidate: An experienced L&D RN with strong fetal monitoring, newborn, postpartum, and couplet care skills who can independently support all three areas of the unit.
