Job Details

• Setting: Acute-care Labor & Delivery / Mother Baby unit
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour day shifts; weekends as scheduled
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370
• Start Date: 08/14/2026
• End Date: 11/13/2026
• Charting Systems: EPIC and TruBridge/Evident
• Orientation: 2-3 shifts with a preceptor on the unit
• Additional Notes: Call shifts may be needed based on census

Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring required
• Ability to circulate C-sections when needed
• Comfort caring for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
• Experience with EPIC or similar EMR systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for laboring and postpartum patients
• Monitor fetal status and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Support vaginal deliveries, high-risk obstetric situations, and C-section readiness
• Collaborate with providers and the care team to promote positive birth outcomes
• Care for patients with varied obstetric needs, including inductions, multiples, and VBACs
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold unit standards and best practices
• Assist with occasional floating support when appropriate and within skill set
