This one is a little stricter than the generic OSUMC submission language. For this specific L&D opening, I would treat the requirement as: 3 years of L&D/LDRP experience required Recent acute-care hospital experience Epic experience within the last year — required Travel experience is not specifically listed as required for L&D Must be comfortable with nights, weekends, and some holidays No blocked schedules Required Certifications AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP are required. Interestingly, the posting does not list AWHONN Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring or C-EFM as a required certification, although I would still highlight fetal monitoring experience heavily on the submission. Submission Requirements This client is particularly picky about the submission packet. They require DOB and SSN, an active license to submit, and a manager/direct supervisor reference from the nurse's most recent/current assignment. Charge nurse and peer references will NOT be accepted. The resume also needs to be unusually detailed. Every position should include unit size, hospital size, trauma level, EMR, patient ratios, patient types/duties, and float areas. Make sure Epic is specifically listed under the applicable work experience, not just in a skills section. Background / License Warning This is probably the biggest screening item: Zero-tolerance policy for background or license hits. The posting states they will not accept hits regardless of how long ago they occurred. Orientation & Modules There are approximately 2 hours of pre-start modules that are non-billable. There is also 8 hours of non-billable orientation, and guaranteed hours do not apply during orientation. The feed shows Orientation=0, but the actual unit notes specifically state 8 hours non-billable orientation, so I would go by the unit notes. Cancellation Policy Client can cancel 1 shift every 14 days / per clients pay period.
