Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Henderson, Nevada. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a high-risk, Level 3 facility specializing in obstetric and neonatal care. The position requires confidence in managing high-risk laboring and antepartum patients, with responsibilities including circulation, recovery, and remote fetal strip interpretation.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse, BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), AFM (AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
- Common diagnoses/types of patients: High-risk obstetric patients, antepartum patients, postpartum and newborn care
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: Nurses must be independent and confident with vaginal exams, internal monitor placement, high-risk laboring/delivery patients, and antepartum patients. Ability to circulate and recover C-Section patients and float to other units as needed
- Additional Information: Cerner electronic charting system; orientation to the unit will be 3 days for travelers; floating to postpartum as needed; scrub color is navy blue; self-scheduling system used with team scheduling; every other weekend and as needed on holidays; no call or standby required; in-house obstetricians, neonatologists, and anesthesia available 24/7; telemonitoring monitored remotely from ICU; medical equipment such as vents and CPAP/BiPAP available if needed.
