L&D / Maternal Infant RN – CJW Johnston-Willis Hospital | Richmond, VA
Unit: Maternal Infant Unit
Floor: 3rd Floor – Atrium
Beds: 24
EMR: Meditech / CPN
Experience Required: 2+ years Labor & Delivery experience
Patient Ratios
- Labor: Typically 1:1
- Postpartum: 1:5–6
- Nursery: 1:5–6
Required Experience
- At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Comfortable caring for:
- Laboring patients
- Vaginal deliveries
- C-sections
- Antepartum patients
- Postpartum mothers
- Newborns
Preferred Experience
- 2+ years L&D experience
- Prior experience in a high-volume LDRP environment
Required Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
Unit Support
Typical staffing includes:
- Labor RN
- Nursery RN
- OB Tech
- Unit Secretary
- Leadership / Educator support on days
