• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and major holiday coverage may be required; on-call coverage up to 24 hours per 6 weeks

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of practice or compact eligibility
• At least 1 year of Registered Nurse experience required
• Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred
• Strong background in antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean section, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate administration
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
• Fetal heart monitoring experience preferred; C-EFM certification strongly preferred
• Experience with EPIC and Perinatal Centricity preferred
• Ability to complete a dysrhythmia exam
• Ability to scrub/assist in deliveries preferred; circulating C-sections required
• Comfort working in a high-acuity setting with diverse patient populations

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to patients in labor, delivery, postpartum, and related women’s health settings
• Perform ongoing assessment, triage, monitoring, and intervention for mothers and newborns
• Assist with vaginal exams, fetal monitoring, resuscitation, stabilization, and breastfeeding support
• Circulate cesarean sections and support deliveries as part of the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications safely and coordinate care with physicians, providers, and multidisciplinary staff
• Educate patients and families on self-care, newborn care, discharge planning, and follow-up needs
• Respond calmly and effectively during emergencies while maintaining safe, high-quality patient care
• Support a positive patient experience through strong communication, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity
