Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in a unit specializing in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Neonatal, and operating rooms. The role involves rotating shifts between days, evenings, and nights, including call duties, within a 25-bed unit managing a daily census of 15-25 mothers and newborns. The position is designed for experienced RNs with a focus on maternal and neonatal care.
Job Details:
- Shift Time: Days, with rotation to evenings and nights as needed; schedule includes shifts beginning at 7:00 am, 11:00 am, and 7:00 pm, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse license; minimum of 3 years of experience in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum nursing; certifications in BLS (Basic Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) every two years.
- Preferred Qualifications: AHA ACLS certification is preferred.
- Schedule: Day rotate position primarily, with rotation to evenings and nights as needed.
- Additional Information: The unit features five Labor & Delivery rooms, twelve Postpartum rooms, two operating rooms, two recovery rooms, and two Antepartum units with four beds each. The EMR system used is EPIC. The clinician should be proficient in labor and delivery, postpartum, neonatal, and newborn care, and circulation.
