• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required
• Holiday Commitment: Must work 2 of 3 winter holidays
• Orientation: 36 hours total
• Floating: May float to Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower care as needed
• Charting System: Epic experience required

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience
• Active RN license; Virginia license pending may be accepted if in hand by the required deadline
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Fetal monitoring experience required
• Epic electronic health record (EHR) experience required
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and required holidays
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative healthcare team

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate patient care to laboring, postpartum, and high-risk obstetric patients
• Monitor fetal status and recognize changes in maternal or fetal condition
• Assist with and circulate for cesarean sections and other obstetric procedures
• Support triage, recovery, and postpartum nursing care for a diverse patient population
• Manage IV therapy, magnesium sulfate, and other common obstetric interventions
• Care for newborns and support Mother/Baby and NICU feeder/grower needs when floated
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality women’s health care
• Document accurately in Epic and follow all unit workflows and safety protocols
