Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse in Seattle, Washington. This position involves providing specialized care in a high-acuity obstetric setting within a busy healthcare facility. The role requires managing a diverse patient population, including high-risk obstetric cases, postpartum treatment, and potential surge capacity during census increases. Experienced candidates with a minimum of two years in Labor and Delivery are encouraged to apply, including first-time travelers with at least two years of relevant high-acuity experience.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid compact state license; minimum of 2 years of high-acuity Labor and Delivery experience; certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); experience with postpartum care, magnesium sulfate therapy, EPIC electronic health record system, and managing postpartum hemorrhage; must have experience with high-risk obstetric patients, including magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, Foley care, and substance withdrawal management.
  • Preferred Qualifications: JADA experience is preferred; additional experience in trauma level I or II, community hospital settings, or with complex obstetric cases is advantageous.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required between campuses, including Issaquah and Edmonds, for postpartum, labor, and delivery units.
  • Additional Information: The role involves caring for infants and adults within a busy, high census environment, supporting interdisciplinary teams such as IV, respiratory, and social services. Candidates should be prepared to work during designated holidays and adhere to specific scheduling and RTO requirements.
