Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) position located in an acute care hospital setting. The role involves providing high-risk obstetrical care, assisting with deliveries, and managing postpartum patients. The position requires a dedicated professional capable of maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment with a focus on maternal and neonatal health.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid licensure in applicable state or jurisdiction; Certifications including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Association of Womens Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Intermediate; 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; Ability to handle high-risk antepartum, labor, delivery, and postpartum care; Experience with intrauterine pressure catheter (IUPC) placement and calibration, central line maintenance, anticoagulation therapy, insulin drips, magnesium sulfate therapy; proficiency in triage of obstetrical patients and use of specialized equipment.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching hospitals, high patient volume, and use of charting systems applicable to obstetrical care.
  • Additional Information: The candidate must reside at least 100 miles from the facility and possess a valid license. All staff must adhere to compliance and onboarding requirements, including completing core items/labs within 48 hours of contract signing; modules are completed onsite during orientation.
