Job Summary:
L&D (Labor and Delivery) Nurse position is based in a high-volume Level IV Maternal Designation facility known for its fast-paced and comprehensive maternal care services. This role involves providing specialized clinical care within a facility that features multiple LDR suites, Triage rooms, and a busy Maternal-Baby Unit, supporting over 500 deliveries per month. The position offers an opportunity to work in an academic and private practice setting with 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) Provider certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
    • Registered Nurse license for the state of Texas
    • Neonatal Resuscitation certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics
    • Advanced Life Support certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted
    • Minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery / Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery setting
    • Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited school/college of nursing
    • Driver's License / State ID
    • Ascension profile and two professional references
    • License/Certificate verification
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience in high-volume delivery services
    • T.ST.A.B.L.E Program certification
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
    • Advanced Fetal Monitoring Certification
  • Additional Information:
    • The role involves working in a comprehensive, high-risk delivery environment with multidisciplinary coverage including OB, anesthesia, and NICU teams.
    • The facility is equipped to handle a variety of obstetric cases, including low intervention and cesarean deliveries, with a focus on high-quality maternal and neonatal outcomes.
    • Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced, academic, and private practice setting, supporting complex obstetric cases and perinatal transport.
