Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position located in an unspecified facility. The role involves performing comprehensive maternal and neonatal care, including assisting with deliveries, neonatal assessments, and post-partum patient care. The RN will collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification; STABLE certification; Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) certification; active RN license valid in Alabama, or multiple states; minimum of 2 years recent RN experience in Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, Obstetrics-Gynecology (OB-GYN), or Labor & Delivery (L&D)/Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Certification in fetal monitoring (attending fetal monitoring certification classes every two years); STABLE and NRP certifications.
  • Additional Information: Candidates must follow appropriate policies during surgical patient recovery and care, perform neonatal assessments post-delivery, and assist physicians during C-sections. Certification must be attached to submission, including ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN via the American Heart Association. All submissions must utilize the specified template; incomplete submissions will be rejected.
