Position Details
Specialty: Interventional Radiology RN
Shift: Days
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Call: Weekend and weeknight call rotation
Patient Ratio: 1:1 for procedural sedation
EMR: Meditech
Holiday Coverage: Required
Downstaffing: Contract may be downstaffed based on weekly schedule
Requirements
Active, unrestricted Missouri RN License – REQUIRED
Minimum 3 years of RN experience – REQUIRED
Strong Interventional Radiology / Procedural Nursing experience
IV Insertion – REQUIRED
PICC/Central Line Management – REQUIRED
Vascular Device Access/Care – REQUIRED
Telemetry Interpretation – REQUIRED
Cardioversion/Defibrillation – REQUIRED
Procedural Sedation – REQUIRED
Circulating experience – REQUIRED
Current BLS/BCLS – REQUIRED
Ability to recognize complications and respond appropriately in critical situations
Strong patient assessment, communication, and critical-thinking skills
Key Procedures
Port placements/removals
Tunneled & non-tunneled line placements/removals
CT-guided biopsies and drain placements
Chest tube placements
IVC filter placements/removals
Nephrostomy tube procedures
Neurovascular interventions for stroke
Sedation for MRI procedures
Port access/deaccess
Cardiac device monitoring
Chemo and uterine artery embolizations
