Education - Min: RN graduate / Preferred: BSN
Experience - Min. 2-years RN w/ recent arrhythmia recognition/cardiology / Preferred: ICU or Cardiology nursing experience.
*Candidate must stay through January, end date flexible
2 days/week in Cardiology, 3 days/week in Interventional Radiology

Complete Description:
GGH Level 1 RN Outpatient Cardiology & Interventional Radiology - Full Time
Please note that moderate sedation is a large part of this role and previous experience is needed!
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm - no weekends, no holidays, no on-call required! [Clinic Setting] Generally 2 days in Cardiology, 3 days in Interventional Radiology
Education: Minimum - RN graduate / Preferred - BSN
Certifications: BLS, ACLS (both through AHA or RQI specifically)
Experience: Minimum - 2-years patient care w/ recent arrythmia recognition/cardiology experience, moderate sedation, treadmill and nuclear stress testing / Preferred: ICU or Cardiology Nursing, moderate sedation competency, experience with Meditech
Essential Job Functions:
- Is experienced with and performs Treadmill, ETTs and Nuclear Stress Testing
- Conducts initial patient interview and makes preliminary assessment of test data
- Prepares study for physician interpretation
- Works closely w/ physicians, cardiac rehab/cardiology supervisor to assure accurate and timely results
- Monitors patients before, during, and after procedures. Provides patient and family education.
- Assists with monitoring for special procedures (ex: stress-echo studies, tilt table studies, etc.)
- Recognizes emergency situations and responds according to policy/protocol
- Identifies and interprets arrythmias
- Performs conscious sedation as needed
Skills: Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Expertise Rating Move NY RN License, BLS, ACLS Required Minimum 2-years patient care experience w/ recent experience in arrhythmia recognition and cardiology Required
