Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse practicing in Plattsburgh, New York. This role involves providing specialized patient care in the IMCU setting, with the flexibility of float assignments to different units as needed. It requires a dedicated healthcare professional capable of managing complex patient needs in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), at least 1 year of telemetry experience, proficiency with insulin drips, cardiac drips, starting IVs, and post-cardiac catheter care; Epic electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years; NY license or proof of application with applied date (note that NY licensing takes approximately 6-8 weeks)
- Float: Float rotation may be required
- Additional Information:
- Work schedule is from Monday to Sunday with no block schedules; bi-weekly orientation sessions on Mondays
- All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
- Complete work history details, including bed count, electronic medical record system, and facility type, are required for submission
- Travel is not required for this position
