Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMCU/PCU)
MVHS Inc. | Utica, NY
13 Weeks | Start: 09/21/2026 | Days | 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- Schedule: 36 hrs/week
- Shift: 3x12s
- Local & Travel: Both accepted | 75-mile radius
- Experience: 2+ years IMCU/PCU experience
- Travel Experience: Required
- License: Active NY RN license; all RN licenses verified through Nursys
- Required: AHA BLS, ACLS & NIHSS
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Floating: Required
- On-Call: No
- Scrubs: Navy Blue
- OT: Daily after 24 hrs / Weekly after 48 hrs
- Block scheduling: Not guaranteed
Unit Details
- 64-bed IMCU, including 15 designated Neuro beds
- Adult patients, ages 18+
- Common cases: Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown & post-op
- Equipment: Temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, Neptune Vapo
- Chronic ventilator patients; unable-to-wean vents with RT support
Ideal candidate: Experienced IMCU/PCU RN with strong cardiac/neuro/stepdown skills, EPIC experience, required certifications, and prior travel experience.
