Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Intermediate Care Unit, Madison, WI. The organization is seeking a dedicated RN to provide quality patient care in an IMCU setting. The role involves working in both thoracic and acute medical/surgical units, requiring critical thinking, teamwork, and adherence to evidence-based practices. The successful candidate will support a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment managing complex patient cases.
Job Details
- Schedule: Day shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required.
- Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license, minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty, and pass/fail Telemetry test with strict passing criteria.
- Certifications: BLS & ACLS from the American Heart Association.
- Skills: Managing arterial lines, telemetry monitoring, cardiac rhythm interpretation, port access, ventilator management, blood product administration, chest tube care, IV management, wound care, use of rapid response/team, and other critical care procedures.
- Additional Information: Previous experience with chest tubes, vent management, transplant patient care, and working in a high-acuity environment highly preferred. Must pass Telemetry test prior to assignment start date of 09/14/2026. Travel may require floating as needed; local candidates are not accepted.
