Job description
Genie Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Iron Mountain, Michigan.
Job Description & Requirements

Unit Details
- 5-bed ICU + 2 IMC beds in hallway
- ICU ratio: 2:1
- IMC ratio: 3:1, based on acuity
- Must be comfortable floating to Med/Surg-Tele
- Charge RN takes a full assignment
- No nursing aides
- Hospitalist/Intensivist onsite until 6 PM; ICU tele-physician coverage overnight
- RT available 24/7
- Tele/monitor tech coverage 7 AM–7 PM; RN verifies strips and monitors MS unit strips
Patient Population
Common diagnoses include:
- Respiratory failure
- Septic shock
- DKA
- A-fib and arrhythmias requiring pacing
- Detox patients
Strong ventilator management experience required. No pulmonology, dialysis, or cardiac surgery.
