Job Summary:
The ICU Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive critical care services in a fast-paced, Level II Trauma Center. The position involves caring for neuro and medical ICU patients, including post-operative neuro-surgical patients, stroke, and other neurological conditions. This role requires delivering high-quality patient care within a dynamic clinical environment and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: NV Registered Nurse license required prior to start; BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; minimum of 2 years of specialized ICU experience in Neuro ICU, including care for Neuro Trauma, post Neuro-surgery patients, and preferred experience with post Alteplase and/or Thrombectomy patients; prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience caring for post neurosurgical patients with external ventricular drains.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level. May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period. Holiday coverage includes working 2 of the 3 major holidays (Eve + Day counts as 1 holiday).
