In this role, you will provide critical, high-acuity care to patients in a dynamic Intensive Care Unit (ICU). You will monitor complex patient conditions, manage advanced life-support equipment, and collaborate closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary healthcare team. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced ICU RN with strong critical care skills, including CRRT and Prismaflex experience. Cardiac and heart-related ICU experience is highly preferred.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience in ICU, SICU, CTICU, Trauma ICU, Medical-Surgical ICU, or Neuro ICU
• 4–5 years of ICU experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Experience with CRRT and Prismaflex required
• Cardiac or heart-related ICU experience highly preferred
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Active New York RN license and verification of all active RN licenses through NURSYS
• Previous Epic EMR experience
• Specialty-specific skills checklist
• Valid driver's license with an address matching submitted demographics
• RTO must be included at the time of submission

Key Highlights

• Night shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Block scheduling is not promised or guaranteed
• 42-bed ICU with Neuro/Medical, CTICU, and Surgical/Trauma patient populations
• Floating required as needed to applicable units, excluding Behavioral and ER unless holding patients
• Navy scrub color
• Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted at the applicable local rate

Clinical Experience & Equipment

Candidates should be comfortable caring for patients with conditions such as:

• Stroke and other neurological conditions
• Sepsis and altered mental status
• Respiratory failure
• Congestive heart failure
• Post-STEMI patients
• Cardiogenic shock
• Cardiovascular surgery patients
• Abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) surgery
• Trauma and major post-operative cases

Experience with advanced ICU equipment is highly valuable, including:

• IABP
• CRRT using Prismaflex or NxStage
• Ventriculostomy
• ICP monitoring
• Targeted Temperature Management using Arctic Sun
