Aptiva Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Franklin, Indiana.

No. of beds: 12 Combined CCU and PCU (6 CCU and 6PCU)
Ratios: 1:2 CCU, 1:3-4 PCU
Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Sepsis, respiratory distress, OD/ETOH withdrawal, DKA
Experience or 'Must have' skills: 2 years - Preferably
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Levophed, insulin, dopamine, heparin
Charge Nurse/House Supervisor: Charge nurse each shift. House supervisor nights and weekends.
Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios: Yes
RT Equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, etc): Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, oximizer
Is there tele on this unit? Monitor Techs? RNs read strips?: Yes to all. RNs read strips.
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
Holiday Requirement: 1 major and 1 minor if in contract time
Is there a call or standby requirement?: Generally placed on call if needed. No call outside of this.
Floating Requirements: Medsurg if needed. ER only if experienced in ER
Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Shifts & Scheduling: 6-6:30 - Self-scheduling. Schedule is out for 6 weeks.
