Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Baltimore, Maryland. This role involves caring for patients with high acuity who often require the use of advanced cardiac devices such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pumps, ECMO, CRRT, and PA catheters. The position requires experienced critical care nursing skills, particularly in cardiac ICU settings, with a focus on acute myocardial infarction and cardiogenic shock management.
Job Details
- Position: ICU Nurse, Critical Care Specialty, located in Baltimore, MD
- Schedule: 36 hours per week; 12-hour night shifts; 3 out of 6 weekends (every other weekend); includes 2 call shifts per 6 weeks, with holiday coverage as needed
- Required Qualifications: RN license; BLS; ACLS; a minimum of 2 years current ICU or cardiovascular surgical intensive care unit nursing experience; experience with cardiac devices such as Impella, intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP), and PA catheters
- Preferred Qualifications: EPIC electronic health record experience; ECMO proficiency; Critical Care Certification; trauma course training
- Additional Information: Candidates must have a minimum of one year since previous employment with any Johns Hopkins facility to be eligible for travel assignment consideration. Previous employment must be clearly documented in work history. Float rotation may be required to other units with similar skill sets.
