Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Pennsylvania RN license
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in ICU or critical care
• No new graduates
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• TNCC preferred
• Ability to adapt quickly in a float pool environment

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality patient care as a Critical Care RN under physician direction
• Assess, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Support ICU patients across multiple units, including step-down and IMCU
• Float to additional areas such as ED holds/borders when assigned
• Maintain safe patient ratios, with assignments not expected to exceed 1:3
• Direct nursing support staff and help ensure smooth daily operations
• Deliver care according to nursing standards, unit policies, and best practices
