• Setting: High-acuity Intensive Care Unit
• Shift: 12-hour nights
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week; every other weekend and major holidays may be required
• Hours Per Week: 36
• Contract Duration: 12 weeks

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130

Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
• 1 year of RN experience required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
• Ability to read and verify rhythm strips
• Experience with ventilators, sedation, and titrating vasoactive drips/pressors
• Proficiency with lab draws and peripheral IV starts
• Experience with Impella, CRRT, and cardiac surgery patients preferred
• Neuro background preferred
• Must be able to pass an EKG exam at orientation
• Copy of nursing diploma required for point-of-care testing access

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care
• Monitor hemodynamics and respond quickly to changing patient conditions
• Manage mechanical ventilation and sedation for high-acuity patients
• Titrate vasoactive drips and pressors according to clinical needs
• Perform or assist with lab draws, peripheral IV starts, and bedside clinical procedures
• Support care for complex ICU populations including sepsis, CVA, pneumonia, ARDS, respiratory failure, heart failure, renal failure, overdose, and CIWA
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to promote safe, effective patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold infection control and safety standards
• Deliver calm, compassionate care in a fast-paced critical care setting
