- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift Pattern: Day/night rotation, every other weekend, every other holiday
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,110
- Additional Notes: May need to float to Med/Surg if needed
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU Registered Nurse experience
- Experience in a multi-specialty ICU environment such as CCU, SICU, MICU, Neuro, or CT preferred
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Telemetry experience required, including the ability to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips
- Ability to complete a tele test on day 1
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer proficiency and the ability to manage patient documentation accurately
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the critical care nursing role
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care in a multi-specialty ICU setting
- Assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients throughout the continuum of care
- Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to rhythm changes and patient status updates
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Enter and interpret computerized data and clinical information
- Follow nursing department policies, procedures, and standards of care
- Support quality improvement initiatives and assist leadership as needed
