Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit Medical (ICU MEDICAL) nurse position in a magnet-designated facility located in Alaska. This role involves providing acute and specialized patient care within a Level II Trauma environment. The assignment is designed for experienced healthcare professionals committed to delivering high-quality critical care services.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shift; 12-hour shift hours; minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Alaska Registered Nurse license in hand, at least 2 years of recent ICU experience, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC certifications, and experience with arterial line management, ventilator management, and trauma care
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in a Level II Trauma or similar high-acuity setting; familiarity with Epic charting system and interdisciplinary support teams
- Float: Float to like units within scope may be required if needed
- Open to accommodating block schedule: No
- Locals accepted: No candidates permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Pending License Accepted: Yes, but in-hand license required for Auto Offer
- Additional Information: Candidates must commit to working 3 of the 5 recognized holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day). All time-off requests (RTO) must be included during submittal and approved prior to start; unapproved time off may result in contract termination. Candidates should be prepared to work in a multidisciplinary environment with access to physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and other support units.
