Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nursing position available in a clinical setting. The role involves providing care for patients with complex medical conditions, including those requiring advanced cardiovascular support such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and Impellas. The position offers a flexible schedule with night shifts and guarantees for 36 hours per week. Competitive start date is August 31, 2026, with an end date of November 28, 2026.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing; current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment or a compact license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification via AHA; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification via AHA; at least 1 year of experience in a critical care setting.
- Preferred Qualifications: 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
- Experience: Oneyear of experience in a critical care setting preferred but will consider new graduates.
- Responsibilities: Provide routine and complex nursing care, assess and plan patient treatments, administer medications and treatments following appropriate protocols, and educate patients and families. Make appropriate clinical assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers as needed. Ensure compliance with professional standards and organizational competencies.
- Additional Information: All newly hired experienced RNs must attend a comprehensive New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. Orientation includes preceptorship and competency validation specific to the critical care department, along with annual competency requirements.
