Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) specialized in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) services, located in a major metropolitan area. This position involves providing critical care for diverse patient populations including trauma, surgical, neuro, and post-operative cases. The role offers an opportunity to work within a Level 1 Trauma Center and a comprehensive stroke center, supporting complex medical and surgical patients in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
- Schedule: Nights, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 09/14/2026

- Required Qualifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications; 4 years ICU experience; valid license; located within the state; ability to work nights; experience with trach, ventilator, Bipap, chest tubes, arterial lines, Swan Ganz; experience with cardiovascular complications, vasopressor and sedation/analgesia titration, CRRT (prismaflex), insulin drips, TR band and sheath removal; wound vac, balloon pump, and Impella experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: CCRN certification preferred.
- Support on the Unit: CNA (1 per unit), charge nurse (sometimes takes patient assignment), RN responsible for all draws including arterial sticks, resource nurse/house supervisor, 24/7 RT, hospitalist, resident physicians, rescue team, code team, nursing supervisor, attending available on site.
- Charting System/Equipment: EPIC electronic health record, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication system, Phillip monitors, Bellmont mass transfusion system, Kreg verticalization beds, floating units (telemetry/medical-surgical units with rat io of 1:4-5).
- Orientation: Two shifts of MICU orientation, one in MICU.
- Additional Information: Scrub color navy; parking available for agency personnel (cost $36/month); located near public transportation options; no on-call required; holiday rotations on specified holidays.
